Hey hey! Guess whose back?
Wow, it’s been a while…not even sure where to start (or if I’m actually talking to anyone?)
Sorry for the absence, I have to say I have always been pretty sporadic with projects (my 3 boxes of half complete craft works will tell you that!)
I guess you have been wondering where I’ve been? (all 2 of you, Matt and probably Matt again…)
Well, I had a bit of a perfect storm over the past few months. Not sure if you could tell, but my heart really wasn’t in it at the beginning of the year. I had really lost motivation! Combine that with a particularly stressful time overall and Matt leaving personal training to pursue writing and other ventures, this really fell flat on its face. But I have once again pulled myself up and pushed myself on to continue once more. Mainly I will blame Matt because it’s much easier to do that.
As I write this, it has been a whole year since I started blogging – so naturally I read the first one to compare where I am. I would say I have made some progress, but still have a way to go. The biggest change would probably be that I feel like I have a better hold on myself – I am trying to learn to remember that I am only human and therefore will have set backs. So I start afresh and am allowing ideas to bounce around, go sort of crazy – no rules.
(You only have to watch the first 20 secs – I realise my life consists of 1 TV quote after another).
I am currently averaging about 2 sessions in the gym per week (I’d actually written 2-3 to begin with, but had to take the -3 bit out as I was just lying to myself then!)
I’m aiming to get to 3 per week – it is so hard to find the motivation after a long day at work!
I am still in love with the Fitbit and have managed to start a bit of a trend at work! Step count this week is 64,692 at the moment.
This might be a little short and sweet, but I feel like I have covered everything I wanted to.
I will finish with a point that Matt has managed to completely guilt me into picking this up again (there’s only so many times he will mention it ‘coming soon’ on his Beer ‘n’ Biceps podcast before I cave – I am basically a people pleaser, I expect another shout out for this Matt!) I do promise that I will continue to write if there is a demand for it.
Feel free to comment with feedback / questions for me. It may not be weekly but it will happen! I’m sure I’ll be linking up with the podcast at some point to do some kind of special, so send over your comments or questions either below or through Beer ‘n’ Biceps (I am a listener :-P).
Lots of love 🙂
P.S. Hi Matt Here – Guess whose back? An absolutely fantastic writer, a brilliant client, and collaborator Sammy! I was so pleased to get this article sent to me, and I really look forward to reading more and more of Craving Results. Todd and I are currently trying to convince Sam to join us on our Beer N Biceps Podcast, as she really would keep us all entertained (even if she hates beer).
